About Us
Hope and Development (H&D) was registered in 2013 as a community-based organization under the department of gender, children and social services. Over the years, the organization has worked on various initiatives with several partners, all geared toward improving the quality of life of rural communities. These initiatives have seen tremendous socio-economic transformation among the beneficiary populations.
Our mandate is to bring real change in the communities we work with through community-driven solutions.
H&D takes cognizant of the fact that in a community population, lies huge potential for reversing cycles of poverty and socio-cultural drain. The organization embraces a multi-faceted innovative-integrated approach to rural development in critical areas such as agri-business, mental health, water and sanitation (Watsan), education, environmental conservation, civic engagement and business development.
